Do Not Judge...

by Amy Crouse October 13, 2015 9 Comments

I had an interesting moment with my daughter the other day, and suffered the scorn of another Mom who made a snap judgement about a situation she didn't fully understand.

I never thought about it that way before, but those are true words to live by. I will definitely think about it when I see other parents struggling with their children and try not to judge. Appreciate your input.

You are so correct….I have caught myself doing the very same thing and vice versa…have raised my kids to be wonderful adults, full of compassion and love for their fellow human beings but growing up, their father and I had some tough love moments and we have gotten more than a few dirty looks from other people not knowing the full situation. I am so proud of the way my children have grown up and the way they are raising their children, I wouldn’t have changed a thing!!

Good morning Amy, I love your message! I have always tried to teach my children not to judge a book by it’s cover but sometimes as a parent I do catch myself in the same situations that you did and it is a good reality check to me. My husband always tells me we don’t air our dirty laundry in public because you never know who is looking in the the “window” and only seeing part of the situation going on. So as a rule of thumb we try to discuss matters of concern with our children behind the publics eye. Thank you for sharing your experience

I couldn’t watch the podcast, so I am hoping watching the video still gives me a chance to win! Anyway that is a great message and helps us all remember not to be too quick to judge.

Great video! I like that it was short but sent a very encouraging and imporant message, dont judge others. I also think it tells us not to stop parenting how we feel we are to parent our children. Again, standing strong in our convictions and knowing two things: God is in control of our lives and God is the only one to Judge us. Love your products!!!
