At Bolder Band®, we are more than just a headband company. We are a community of people committed to giving back and encouraging others in their journey, no matter what life may throw at them. We want to spread awareness and give to people from all walks of life. With April being Autism awareness month, it's only fitting to make a band that promotes this cause and the proceeds go to a great non-profit, Autism Speaks.
My friend Alicia, who you can see on the video, and her amazing son Dante inspired the creation of this band. Alicia is my gym buddy and dear friend who was an early supporter of Bolder Band®. Now she models for us and works in customer service. I see the effects that Autism has on her family on a daily basis and how she and her family chose to overcome the challenges that Dante faces by having a strong faith and trust in God. Alicia and her husband respond to Dante with love, support and patience and provide him with a stable environment that helps him thrive. If Autism Awareness hits close to home with you and someone you love, buy a band to show your support and know it's going to a great cause.

I am also a mom to a wonderful little boy with autism. And I understand the joys that go along with every small accomplishment and the heartbreak of watching your child struggle on a daily basis.
I am surprised to see this company supporting Autism Speaks. As an organization they have proven that they do not speak for the autistic community. They harbor an atmosphere of fear and anger for parents and caregivers. For many years, they used funds that could have gone to autistic individuals and families, for the vaccination related research of Dr. Wakefield. They funded that research long after Wakefield’s study had been deemed false and he lost his license.
Autism Speaks does not speak for me and they do not speak for my son.

I think this band is so wonderful, thank you Bolder Band for spreading awareness! My amazing, intelligent son Preston, who is 10 years old, also has autism. I will wear this band in support of him and for all of those who are affected.
