“Sometimes we are the priority. We are the example.”
When my kids were really young, I was always prepared with spare diapers, snacks, baby wipes and a change of clothes. Moms know what kinds of things might happen to get in the way of the “To Do” list of our day.
Prepare “like a mom” for fitting in a workout: have a bag of clothes, shoes and Bolder Band Headband in the car with a bottle of water and a healthy snack. Take a couple laps around a park for 15 minutes here or a brisk walk at lunch there.
Remember, your health is as important as the health of your kids. As our friends at the airlines say “put your oxygen mask on first and then assist the children.” We need to be examples of setting and keeping priorities and taking care of ourselves.
